DescriptionThis holiday park is situated directly at the marina, 300 meters from the beach of Lac (lake) d'HOURTIN Carcan, near the village of HOURTIN. The lake is about 10 km from the Atlantic Coast, where you will find seemingly endless sandy beaches. HOURTIN is a vibrant village with all kinds of sport activities and is very suitable for families with children. The holiday park, which was renovated in 2007, consists of 3 small buildings situated around a pool and garden. Facilities include a reception desk, an Internet point (use for a small fee), a heated outdoor pool (open from mid-May to late September), a children play area with sandbox and games, a restaurant (open from mid-April) and a parking lot. In addition, there are a variety of organized activities for children, youth and adults. Bed linen is included in the price. For an additional fee you can reserve a baby kit, a TV and final cleaning. Pets are only allowed upon request, for a fee and provided they have a current vaccination certificate.

Local areaIn the vicinity of the park, near the forest of Les Landes, you can play tennis, go cycling (there are bikes available for rent!), surfing, canoeing, mountain biking, horseback riding, sailing, skating, hiking and play midget golf. For golfers there are three golf courses in the region, with a total of 27 holes. Besides all these sporting activities there is also culture. For example, you can visit castles and you can sample wine. And finally, you can visit the famous vineyards of Medoc. But the oyster farms in the Bay of Arcachon are worth a visit too. A very famous dune is the dune of Pyla. This is the highest dune in Europe, with a height of 107 meters. You can combine this with great sporting activities and excursions in the region on Sundays.
