DescriptionThe holiday village of La Valserine is situated at an altitude of 900 meters in the village of Lelex-Crozet. La Valserine consists of 60 renovated ground floor and 1st floor apartments spread over several small houses. The village is very suitable for families with children. It has a childrens play area for children 3 to 6 years of age and several children/youth clubs for ages 6 to 17. Various activities, such as meals under a certain topic, movie nights, childrens spectacle, etc are regularly organized in afternoons and evenings. On the grounds you will find: a reception area with tourist information, free WiFi room, a sitting area with fireplace, bar, snack bar, barbecue area, laundry and a parking lot. For your further enjoyment there is a reading corner, games, table tennis, football, playground and a small heated swimming pool with childrens area (open July and August). Shops are located 600 meters away. Pets will be allowed for an additional fee and provided proof of vaccination can be shown. Lelex is an authentic family resort near the Swiss border between Switzerland and the Alps. Each week (during school holidays) there are hikes for the whole family in the immediate vicinity. For children there is, also only during school holidays, a club for ages 4 to 10 with activities such as building snowmen and sledding, and a club for those between 11 and 14 with activities such as a snowshoe tour. The ski lifts are located just 400 meters away. For the little ones, from 6 months to 6 years, there is a childrens nursery located 150 meters away. A childrens snow garden for children ages 4 to 6 is 400 meters away. In the winter bed linen is included in the price. There are special rates for ski passes, cross-country passes, ski equipment rental and ski lessons.

Local areaYou can admire the natural beauty of this area by bike, mountain bike or on foot. Cities like Geneva (50 km) and Annecy with its old downtown, as well as the famous Lake St. Claude are also very beautiful. In the surrounding area there is an old fortress which is accessible to the public and where you can visit underground passages, or go on a special tour. You can also visit the caves of Cerdon. Here visitors are transported by train. A good tip for a nice day: the waterfalls of Herisson. At the reception area you can get car-, GPS - hiking-, cycling- and mountain biking guides. There is a lot here in the way of sports too. For example: golf, horseback riding, summer luge, tree-climbing tours, mountain climbing, canoeing and Parapets. La Valserine lies in a vast skiing area which offers Alpine and cross-country skiing. The ski lifts are just 400 meters from La Valserine. The ski area lies at an altitude of between 900 and 1,670 meters. It is characterized by a wooded area and has a network of 50 km ski slopes. In the immediate vicinity there are 80 snow cannons, 30 lifts and a snow park. In total you have the following slopes: 14 green, 11 blue, 10 red and 4 black. Another ski resort in the neighborhood has 20 km of ski trails and 11 lifts. This ski area is located 5 km away and has a network of 140 km of cross-country trails.
