DescriptionThe holiday village of La Valserine is situated at an altitude of 900 meters in the village of Lelex-Crozet. La Valserine consists of 60 renovated ground floor and 1st floor apartments spread over several small houses. The resort is very suitable for families with children. It has a childrens play area for children ages 3 to 6 and several children/youth clubs for ages 6 to 17. Various activities, such as meals under a certain topic, movie nights, childrens spectacle, etc are regularly organized in afternoons and evenings. On the grounds you will find: a reception area with tourist information, free WiFi room, a sitting area with fireplace, bar, snack bar, barbecue area, laundry and a parking lot. For your further enjoyment there is a reading corner, games, table tennis, football, playground and a small heated swimming pool with childrens area (open July and August). Shops are located 600 meters away. Pets will be allowed for an additional fee and provided proof of vaccination is shown. Lelex is an authentic family resort near the Swiss border between Switzerland and the Alps. Each week (during school holidays) there are hikes for the whole family in the immediate vicinity. For children (also during school holidays) there is a club for ages 4 to 10 with activities such as building snowmen and sledding, and a club for those 11 to 14 with activities such as a snowshoe tour. The ski lifts are located just 400 meters from La Valserine. For the little ones, from 6 months to 6 years, there is a childrens nursery 150 meters away. A childrens snow garden for children 4 to 6 is 400 meters away. In the winter bed linen is included in the price. There are special rates for ski passes, cross-country passes, ski equipment rental and ski lessons.

Local areaYou can admire the natural beauty of this area by bike, mountain bike or on foot. Cities like Geneva (50 km) and Annecy with its old downtown, as well as the famous Lake St. Claude, are very beautiful as well. In the surrounding area there is an old fortress, which is accessible to the public and where you can visit underground passages, or go on a special tour. You can also visit the caves of Cerdon, where visitors are transported by train. Good tips for a nice day include the waterfalls of Herisson. La Valserine lies in a vast skiing area which offers both Alpine and cross-country skiing. The ski lifts are located just 400 meters from La Valserine. The ski area lies at an altitude of between 900 and 1,670 meters. It is characterized by a wooded area and has a network of 50 km of ski slopes including 14 green, 11 blue, 10 red and 4 black. In addition, there are 80 snow cannons, 30 lifts and a snow park. Another ski resort in the neighborhood has 20 km of ski trails and 11 lifts. This ski area is located 5 km away and has a network of 140 km of cross-country trails. This area is located about 850 km from Utrecht and 50 km from Geneva, near Switzerland.
